Process: Foundations

“These works on paper are charcoal drawings, layered atop the grid system that ultimately allowed Bailly to transfer the invented maps to canvas. These invented maps serve as the setting for the paintings of The Roses of Fibonacci. Each map is manipulated to emphasize anthropological elements that help create a visual language that speak to the higher meaning of Venice Venezuela, Ghost Dance, and Decree of Death.” Sofia Guerra, Curator of Process
