MARGULIES AS TEXT BY MARIA VICTORIA BIANCARDI

“Mirror”
by @mvbiancardi (Maria Victoria Biancardi) of @fiuinstagram at @margulieswarehouse

Is Art a mirror or is it Reality?
A striking world, in the thousand reflections
at Margulies, makes me wonder
at other dimensions of the contemporary.

Here, art is not like I’ve known it in life.
It’s spacious—fills entire rooms
with Chamberlain, Kiefer, de Kooning,
those who redefine still what we mean by: line, color, tone.

How is it that our eyes are redirected?

Collection or something else–
not a visor of the ancient past, but our recent
progress made Art feel all the closer.
It is near and we can reach, touch it.

Striving together to comprehend,
reflections glimmer back. Us.
The future of Art and public collections
like Margulies is not restricted.

It is in our hands.
