Museo Nazionale Romano (National Museum of Rome)
This is one of the least visited of the sites in Rome, but absolutely worth the visit. There are two artistic masterpieces in this museum that you have to see. The first is the frescoes from the Villa of Livia, the wife of Augustus. They are stunning by their openness, depth, and almost Impressionistic paint application. The second is the Greek original, The Pugilist, which the Cabeza crew consider the Classical equivalent of Michelangelo’s David.
