The Pantheon
This is the perfect architectural building, and an obligatory stop during your visit to Rome. Most structures are defined by their architectural components, and although this is true for the Pantheon, of equal importance is the manner in which the empty space between the elements is brought to life. The Pantheon has been in continuous use since Emperor Hadrian had a this structure replace a preceding one by Marcus Agrippa. The result is that the Pantheon provides visitors with the best preserved interior of a Roman temple.
