Seated Woman
By Jonah Wichterich

Mold me
form me
shape me
for I am your muse

Hurt me
break me
bruise me
for I am your monster

Build me up
break me down
leave your mark
for I am nothing

Jonah Wichterich (“Wi-ter-rich”) was born in the 305 but resides in the far away land of Broward County. He is the son of a Cuban mother and an American father, hence the incomprehensible last name. After completing his degree in International Relations, Jonah hopes to pursue an MBA and eventually start a career in real estate and property development. The PAC class was his first venture into poetry and Poetic Palate was his first time reading his poem in front of a real audience.

This poem was debuted at the FIU Honors College‘s “Poetry Art Community” at Margulies Collection on 6 April, 2018.
